Montegra Capital Income Fund: Providing Short-Term Financing for Real Estate

Montegra Capital Income Fund, L.P. (the Fund) provides financing for short term, first mortgage secured loans on commercial and investment purpose residential real estate located in Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region at conservative loan to value ratios. The Fund is a Limited Partnership which has filed with the SEC under Regulation D Rule 506. It has also filed a Regulation D filing in every state where an investor in the Fund resides. The Fund is managed by its General Partner, Trail Ridge Partners, LLC, a Colorado Limited Liability Company.

Bob has owned and managed Montegra CapitalResources, LTD (Montegra) for 48 consecutive years and has been a leader in Colorado fund management. Montegra’s business is to underwrite, close, and service first mortgage secured real estate loans in Colorado. These loans are funded with private capital from investors who have become Limited Partners in the Fund. Bob is a native of Denver and received a B.A. degree from Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont and an M.A. degree from University of Colorado in Boulder. Bob started his career at the investment banking firm of Boettcher & Co. before founding and managing a company that engaged in ownership and management of multi-family properties. Mr. Amter then founded the predecessor to Montegra (Equity Mortgage Investors) in 1971, as part of his strategic plan to provide “jumbo” private capital commercial and investment purpose residential loans to borrowers, before changing the company’s name to Montegra Capital Resources, LTD. Mr. Amter has served on a number of non-profit boards, including Colorado Academy, during his career.

Mr. Amter and his associate William D. (Bill) Stanfill formed Trail Ridge Partners, LLC in 2002 (Trail Ridge) to act as the General Partner for Limited Partnerships in which accredited investors make capital investments in a Fund that holds a diversified portfolio of commercial real estate loans.

Kimberly Skari
Kimberly Skari is the Vice President in charge of operations for Montegra and has been with the company since 2005. Prior to joining Montegra, Ms. Skari worked as a commercial closer with a Denver-based title company. Montegra holds all its loans in-house so in addition to underwriting and closing each private capital loan, she is also in charge of Montegra’s loan servicing. Ms. Skari received a B.S. degree in International Business from Minnesota State University – Moorhead.
John Richert
John Richert
John Richert joined Montegra’s management group in 2015. Chairman of the board of Terrix Financial, he has been with the firm since 1988 and has arranged over 1 Billion in financing.

Prior to joining Terrix, Mr. Richert was involved in real estate finance for 8 years in Denver with a division of Wells Fargo Bank. He graduated from Beloit College in 1972 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Arizona State University in 1977 with a Master’s Degree in Business.

Montegra has engaged the legal services of Laff Tucker & Gordon LLP for over 25 years. Matt Gordon’s AV- rated legal practice focuses on commercial real estate lending, land use and zoning issues. He represents real-estate-secured lenders and real estate owners and developers in connection with a wide range of purchase, sale, financing, development and leasing transactions.

A Denver native, Matt has been designated as one of the nation’s Best Lawyers in U.S. News and World Report’s national peer reviewed rankings. He received his law degree from the Boston University School of Law (Juris Doctor, cum laude) in 1983. Matt is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and has served on the Colorado Bar Association Real Estate Section Council and chaired its committee on Continuing Legal Education.
